Posted about 2 months ago
Congratulations to NACDN members Lanea George and Amanda "Mandy" Scott @ Man Alive, Inc. in Baltimore, MD who were interviewed for the article, "Can a methadone dispensing robot free up nurses and improve patient care?" written by Jim Gorant and published by The Guardian on 5.10.2025. Lanea and Mandy presented at the NACDN Open House in January and attendees were treated to a virtual sneak peek at "Bohdi" - a ZING robotic methadone dose preparation system by Opio Connect. https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2025/may/10/methadone-robot-nursingIs technology transforming your practice area? - The NACDN community would love to hear about it!

Jim Gorant did a wonderful job with this article, by showing how innovative technology can really support nurses in their day-to-day work. I’m so grateful I got to share my experiences with Zing and with the Opio family because they have a vision that’s truly inspiring, and I genuinely believe they care deeply about putting patients first. Their plans to improve access to treatment and let nurses do what they do best are just what healthcare needs right now. Thanks NACDN for sharing this article.
